you need a higher lock picking level to open this
Thanks! I got a set as a gag gift ( I'm always losing padlock keys), but I actually needed to use it (lost key, again) and this helped. Unlocked it in seconds!
@LegalLockPicker utyyyeu
Thanks! I was looking for how to buy individual picks (mostly hooks) in different thicknesses. But it was exactly also that about finding locks I can setup with different pins, so thanks for that! I had bought a cheap set, tried some locks a while back and set it aside. Tried again the other night and picked my first real lock. So strange, spent 45 min. Or so, got it, then after that took me no time again and again. Was beginning to think the back pins were permanently set somehow. Tried another and raked it (cheap locks I bought) and then a few I can’t get, but I can see it’s the lack of a small enough tension tool (the key way is horribly tight and small) or not having any with small hook so I can tension the top of the key way. Anyway, have really enjoyed all your videos I’ve seen, but this one hit me at my level, was great help!
So if I break a lock pick in a lock (like a teachers door) it won’t be able to come out?
Thanks going to practice in a local grocery store,,,wish me luck
Awesome Video !! Thanks for sharing such a helpful video with us. Your video is quite helpful for me in lockout situations. Generally I contact a locksmith service but your video would really be helpful in such sticky cases. www.germantownlocksmiths.com/
I used a letter flap of the door to get in the house when I forgot the key. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And thank you so much for the video!! It’s so damn good and I’ve learned so much!
What is a binding pin? I don’t understand why a pin bind and what is means
Rakes I’ve found are the easiest way To pick
Having trouble with the raking can’t quite get it down is there a technique to it or does it just come with practise?
1 day i was locked out of my house i forgot my key i was lock out for 3 hours and i found a lock pick stuff in my trunk for some reason and then i remembered my friend gave it to me as a gift and watched this video with my left over network and opened it thank you i subbed
Thanks!
Just bought my first kit with 3 practice locks!!
Cool!
Where can I write to you? I have a business proposal for you)
my email is in the description
this video is amazing it helped a lot amazing
Thanks!
Ok I've been dabbing in this since I was a little kid time to get serious and figure this out fully and learn fully thank God for the internet and thank you locknoob, bosnianbill and LPL
Thanks!
What’s your preferred style for picking a lock raking or using a hook? Which one in your opinion is the best way
Using a hook :-)
Cool vid for people that approach this subject positively... especially when you have locked yourself out👍
it took me an hour to figure it out
Cool!
I watched a few videos and had a small theoretical understanding. So I bought a practise lock picking set, similar to what you have here. I was able to open the lock with half a minute but then realised I was lucky. The real secret seems to be in sensing and understanding which parts of the lock are binding as you are trying to pick it.
Exactly!
I'll be honest mate, I opened the practice lock ( same one you have) before you finished saying use the rake.😂😂 I need more locks now & ones I can't see through.lol
@Lock Noob I did, I bought a disclock today, took a little longer but opened it pretty quickly, no fluke either I can do it over and again now no probs.😜 Tomorrow I'm going to get something much bigger & hopefully harder, can you suggest a hard lock? I'm loving this new toy 🙏😜
they are meant to open very easily so yes, get some real locks to practice on!
Dang. My whole problem what tensioning counter-clockwise, FML
very few padlocks turn that way. Don't worry we all do it!
Lol lock noob and lockpicking layor make me have no trust in lockers at my school
just be careful what you store in anything like that!
I HAVE THIS EXACT KIT!
Cool!
when i put the hook in i can get past the first couple of pins and then it gets stuck,i just stops going in, how do i stop this and is it normal, ty ty
Lock Noob i dont think i have one :( should i put it in at an angle or flat btw?
It could be your hook is too deep (tall), try a shorter hook?
great video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
LORD AND RT-hon noob.... I call you this as after many hours watching & reading so many different things on this subject from nearly every country in the world, I find you the best channel and teacher regarding this subject. And you are local too! You are very articulate and professional at what you do with the most understanding, easy and comprehensive way at teaching and showing people ' "especially folks that are not the sharpest tool in the box" how to get along in lock sport. I'm new to this fella and can't get enough of it. I'll keep a look out for more of your work but in the meantime I'm hitting every one of your videos to learn more. Here goes the marathon!!!!!
Awesome 😎 and thank you 🙏
"i find it really rewarding" *FBI want to know your location*
i came here because my drawer is locked, now i want to buy lock picks now XD
lol
In a pinch you can use the big flat staples from cardboard boxes to pick padlocks.
cool!
What’s the deal with the lock picking guns?
They are for locksmiths to pick low security locks
Any recommendations on where to procure used locks to practice on?
Ebay and friends/family
Just ordered a lock picking set after being interested in trying out lock picking for a while, this tutorial helped me out a lot!
@Lock Noob hey i got a quick question, when i check the pins for whether or not they’re binding they’re all springy (im using the see through plastic lock) do i need to add more tension or something?
Awesome!
When I opened my first one I was so excited 😂
It's great isn't it!
Man thanks for this awesome video! I cant wait for my set to get it
Hope you enjoy it!
I just found one for $12 on wish, idk how idc why my local laundry store had them in stock but now I need the tutorial ,thanks xD
Glad I could help
I accidently added too much tension and the keyhole kinda snapped
Go easy!
i did it
Awesome!
Cause of you, I picked my first lock ! Thanks!
the thumbnail is like any other thumbnail, but the way he explained how to lockpick and all the tools just is amazing
Few hobbies open up as many doors as lockpicking
Where did you bye the lock pick
Peterson
How many times my work mates lock keys in tool box. I used my dewalt cordless grinder. But now I can practice and help a mate out. Or my wife. Lol.
Goku just taught a business I can unlock there door with my powers and it was only because they tried to intentionally set me off. Man when that chick at Macdonald’s went to the door to unlock it finally she got scared her face haha uzload.info/fun/fZymhZnUmWp93nU/video like how I turn this object. Here is another example uzload.info/fun/fHiQbIa4qa9psX0/video
So the pins just stay there? They don’t retract back to their neutral position?
Neat! You never know when you’ll need a skill and it’s a good idea to pick them up when you’re able to...I’ve had a beginner set sitting in a drawer for a while and just got to trying it. Love collecting information on useful things like this. Thanks for the well made post sir!
I accidentally unlocked my lock while watching this.
1 is binding..
I have a doubt how fo i know which side to push the erench to apply tension
@Lock Noob Yeah thanks like whaat i meant is i know its the clockwise tension but what if hold the lock the wrong way
The clockwise tension first
Great video .I think Ive got the pick kit right for me now .I got the 4x 0.025 s that come with the Sparrows night school Sparrows tuxedo royale 0.015 and Southord c801slimline set that sits etween those 2/Btw Ive got a masterlock 3 yest that I can rock open with a city rake in a few seconds but still have'nt managed to single pin pick it .Is it just me or are euro versions harder to pick ?
Euros are way harder!
Rrrff
best lock pick is a key
Thanks like saying the best car is a helicopter
Still can't lockpick your video is useless. I see you use the rake which require no skill and you open the padlock in ten seconds, me I do the same and I can't open my lock
These things take time and practice. Read all the comments - many people find this video to be useful. I’ve been picking for years, so of course it looks easy for me, but it wasn’t always that easy. Take your time and don’t stress. Makes sure you listen to what I’m telling you as well as watching. Also, all locks are different so maybe it’s your lock?
Hi I’ve been trying the city rake for 2 days now but I still can’t get all 6 of the pins to the right point do you know why this is??
@Lock Noob ok thx
It might just be the wrong rake for the lock. Try a snake rake or bogata?
learned to pick locks years ago. Got a new set recently but forgot how. thank you for this wonderful video
Thank you and happy picking!!
this video taught me nothing
I’m guessing you were trying to find a video on making a sandwich 🥪. This video will not teach you how to do that. If you want to learn lock picking though, it’s great! 😃👍
I got a lock pick set and picked my first lock within about 10 seconds, I've now been trying for over an hour and can't do it again 😂
Locks can be like that. You WILL get it again, just keep practicing!
i have gating this set on chrismis 2020
Awesome!
